Woven Inc. Ltd has mountains of experience when it comes to embroidery and we only use the best machines for the job. BUT without our in house expert digitizing team we wouldn’t be anything. Our embroidery is some of the best around; just see what we have produced for our clients.

We have a total of 20 state of the art multi head machines, which have the capability to produce approximately 50,000 items of embroidered clothing per week. Logos can be added to most garments, if you’re stuck or need help with embroidered clothing please don’t hesitate to contact one our experts and they will be more than happy to run through everything with you.

We can advise what will and will not work and which garments will ultimately produce the best finish for you. Digitising is the most important part of the embroidery process; it’s the process that converts your image into a set of co-ordinates and references thread colour’s in your design. Which when followed will produce your beautiful work onto the garment of your choice.
There is a fee involved in Digitising, but you’re only charged this fee once, for repeat orders you will not be charged this fee.
You will be given a unique code, which will refer to each logo; size and colour so you have complete consistency through all your orders.

Transform your garments with embroidery. from small logos to club badges and big graphic designs

We'll keep it simple:

Your design goes from a digital design into thread count format. We try to make designs as light as possible without loosing any detail or quality.
The thread count and stitch data is converted into a DST file which comminicates the digital design over to our embroidery machines to complete your request.

The good news is that the number of colors in your design won't impact the embroidery cost since the setup fee per logo is a fixed £25. BUT we do have a limit of 15 colours on our machines. This makes embroidery an excellent choice for creating long-lasting logos.

Embroidery prices are determined quantities, location and stitch count within your logo. Small logos under 10K stitches. Larger logos, such as club badges or crests, can range from 20k to 30k stitches, while larger back logos and text may require anywhere from 20k to 40k stitches or more. Turn Around Times

Standard turn around times are 10-14 working days from approving your artwork. In busy period we can take upto 21 days although you will be notified. If you have a specific date please let us know and we will confirm if the date is possible.
Minimums

Our embroidery only holds minimums on caps. These start at 24 units per design otherwise embroidery holds no minimums

What are DST charges

DST charges are for the set up from your digital logo converted in to a thread count form. DST files contain the information necessary for the embroidery machine to create the design, such as the coordinates, thread colors, stitch types, and other instructions. Although you pay for the set up fee you dont own the files this is an additional charge.

Do you charge for colour changes

No we dont.

Do you have minimums

Printing all depends on the colours in your design, minimum orders are 20 pieces per design but we do have a colour break chart see below.  You can mix your minimum orders between different garments and you can have a mixture of sizes.

  • 20+ Units = Maximum of 4 Screens
  • 50+ Units = Maximum of 8 Screens
  • 150+ Units = 8 Screens Plus

how long do you take

Generally anywhere up to 14 working day is a normal turn around from approving your artwork, obviously if they are ready any sooner we will ship them immediately. Although when ordering in busy season please leave up to 18-21 workings days to receive your order. Turn around times are not set deadlines they are estimated times for completion therefore your stock could be with you much sooner or slightly after this estimated date. 

Can i see my design before placing my order?

We do not visualise orders before confirming and paying for the order. As you can appreciate it takes a lot of time and attention to visuals all artwork before it goes to a printing stage. Once you have confirmed and made payment on your order all artwork is passed over to our design team and they will visualise your order back to you for approval before anything goes to print.

***We need an approval directly to our design team before any production starts.

What are your embroidery sizes

Based on T-shirts see the maximum sizes and locations on the attached doc, sizing will vary depending on the product and product size you choose, DST Files are one size fits all. 
Take a look at our application sizes page for more information.

E.G if you have an Extra small Garment and a Triple Extra Large Garment the print can only go as large as a the Extra Small. Therefore it will look large on the Extra Small but on a Triple Extra Large it will look small in comparison to the garment size.

If you’ve not already heard of Puff embroidery also known as 3D Embroidery. It’s a technique, which allows you to raise the surface of your designs, making them essentially three-dimensional. 3D Foam can give your designs a complete creative boost, transforming them completely. However some parts of the technique may be a little tricky so not all designs are possible. Size and design are critical when making sure you get the best effect for Puff Embroidery.

Puff embroidery is a technique where foam is inserted under the top stitch to raise the surface, giving a three-dimensional look to your embroidery designs. The 3D foam effect is commonly used on garments that don’t require much washing. Apparel like caps, jackets and other outerwear are pieces that are best suited for this technique.


THINGS TO BE AWARE OF WHEN ATTEMPTING TO USE 3D FOAM:


Typically the design plays a huge part, if the design is too intricate, small or design is too closely spaced the design will not work. If the design is too thick the thread will not have the best coverage over the foam base.

Foam colour is also important: it is best to use the same colour as your top thread as any excess foam would be less visible.

Subject matter is also important: 3D foam works best with satin stitching. If the object you want to raise can’t be digitised in satin, then you shouldn’t use foam. Carefully select the right garments for these types of embroidery, they work best and last much longer on items which are typically washed.

WHY IS THE 3D FOAM TECHNIQUE DIFFERENT?


The 3D foam technique is different to standard flat embroidery in the following ways:

Capping – Where the top stitch is not covering the foam, a separate object is created to cap the corners usually running in a perpendicular direction.

Securing stitches – These are needed to hold two objects together.

Stitch density – Spacing between penetrations needs to be denser to help cut and cover the excess foam

Top thread tension – This is usually loose when stitching a foam design.

Fonts and basic shapes are commonly used. More Pull Compensation is needed for the thickness of the foam.

IS 3D EMBROIDERY EXPENSIVE?

Depends on the size and detail of the design. Not all designs can be done in 3D Embroidery, it's always best to check first.



IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER?

We run single units or in multiples of 8 but pricing does vary with quantities pieces for 3D Embroidery



CAN YOU CHANGE COLOURS?

Yes you can change colours but there is fee for the change and there must be changes in multiples of 4
